Municipal Elections
Municipal elections in Alberta occur every three years on the third Monday in October. The 2010 municipal election in Alberta took place on October 18, 2010.
Bill 9, which amends the Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA) received Royal Assent on April 22, 2010. Changes to the LAEA are reflected in the updated document available at the Queen’s Printer.
