Reporting for Regional Service Commissions

Legislated Reporting Requirements

Section 602.34 of the Municipal Government Act requires that each regional services commission prepare an annual financial information return and a financial information return. These reports, including the auditor's reports and the Excel template for download, should be returned electronically to lgs.update@gov.ab.ca by May 1 of each year.

Annual Financial Statements

Sample financial statements are available as a reference in the preparation of the 2016 annual audited statements for a commission.

Financial Information Return (FIR)

The 2016 financial information return template and the accompanying manual are now available. The template requires Microsoft Excel v.7, or newer, to complete.
